Check the fuse assembly under the dashboard or the engine compartment. There are many types and sizes of wiper blades to choose from, so if you install a blade that is not properly matched with your existing ones, it will not be able to wipe properly either. The cause might be messed up wiring or a shorted motor armature.
A blown up car fuse could be the culprit that has stopped the wipers in their tracks. Identify the correct wiper blades fuse and pull it out of the fusebox. If there is still nothing coming out, it is time to take a closer look at the spray pump.
Go ahead and remove the fuse and identify the load side, (pin 87 and 30) the load side is the power to the motor. There are only four items in the circuit 1. Since the nuts connect the metal arms to the wiper transmission, there will be a significant loss of functionality if they are not tightly bolted.
Pull out the fuse and inspect it — if it’s blown, you should be able to see a broken wire inside it, or char marks. Wiper relays usually cost less than $20. Your windshield wipers don't weight very much so its easy for heavy wet snow to weight them down or cause them to freeze onto the windshield.
A build up of ice and other debris around your windshield wipers can cause them to stop working. The wiper fluid pump is connected to the fluid reservoir. Or, perhaps the simplest cause is something is in the way.
Good wiper blades will evenly press against the glass, leaving as little water residue as possible. Turn the wipers on, then back off, so the motor completes a full cycle and returns to the correct park position. Check that the wipers are working properly and are not loose by turning them on and off.
